National Diabetes Month
In 2017, industry costs related to diabetes racked up a staggering $327 billion, accounting for “1 in 4 health care dollars in the U.S.” The individual expenditures of patients with diabetes were more than twice that of those without—with over $9,000 directly attributed to their disease. These costs represent a unique barrier to care. This November, as we observe National Diabetes Month, consider the impact of diabetes on both the individual’s health and wallet.
